Terms of service
These terms cover this website and your purchase. The software itself is covered by the licence agreement.
These are plain-language terms written by the vendor, not by a lawyer. Have them reviewed before you rely on them commercially.
Who you are dealing with
The software is made by Cloud Contraptions LLC ("we", "us").
Your purchase is made from Polar Software Inc., acting as our merchant of record. Polar is the seller of record for the transaction: they take the payment, collect and remit VAT and sales tax, issue your invoice, and appear on your card statement. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
Buying
- Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax, which Polar adds at checkout based on your country.
- Payment is one-time. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- On payment you receive a licence key and a download link by email, immediately.
- What you are buying is a licence to use the software, not the software's copyright.
Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: fourteen days, no argument.
Using this website
Do not attempt to disrupt it, extract data from it in bulk, or use it to attack anything else. There is no user account and no user content, so there is not much else to prohibit.
The licence-key checker is provided for your convenience. Automated or repeated use is rate limited.
Support
Support is by email, in English, on a best-effort basis. There is no contracted response time. Twelve months of updates from your purchase date are included; see the licence agreement for what that does and does not mean.
Warranties and liability
The software is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and its courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are noted in the changelog. Changes are not retroactive: the terms that applied when you bought are the ones that govern your purchase.
